Legal Question in Product Liability in Florida

Video Rental Agreements

Hello, i recentely purchased a video/game rental store in the state of florida and have been having issues with movies not being not being returned. I was interested in finding out how to get a rental agreement policy so that if someone does run off with a movie that i will be able to do something about it.

Re: Video Rental Agreements

Your rental agreement should cover that already. When you rent someone a movie, what do they sign? I assume you don't just hand the movie out and hope that it comes back. Your rental agreement should deal with the length of the rental and what happens if the term expires. Many stores charge the cost of the movie to the credit card after so much time has elapsed.

Go look at what agreements the major rental companies have in place and you will get some ideas about how they handle the issue.
