I would like to know, What are the rules for adverse possesion in Florida?

Adverse possession is fact specific. It must be open and apparent and the time period depends on whether you have no other claim to the property of some basis for claiming rights. If you have the right facts, you'll need an attorney to sue to clear title and you'll want a legal opinion either way.
