Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

tenants by the entirety

I bought my house on 7/06 with my then girlfriend as tenants in common.

On 3/07 we married and I would like to change the title of my house to tenants by the entirety.

My question is do I need an attorney to change the tile from common to entirety? If not, what papers do I file in court?

Re: tenants by the entirety

The two of you must properly execute a properly prepared warranty deed to the two of you as husband and wife. That would then be recorded with the recording office in your county.

I would suggest you use an attorney to make sure the transfer is processed correctly because it is important to both of you.If you need my help call me or send me an e-mail.
