Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

i bought a foreclosure. old owner had a mortgage from 1996 and he passed away in 2003

Bank was taken over by another bank then which was then taken over by another bank.

I have called the last bank and gave them the loan number and social security number, they tell me they have no record of mortgage from this person. county records show the mortgage but no satisfaction. for this i cannot seem to get title insurance. how can i correct this
