Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

exgirlfriend recorded quit claim without my knowledge or consent to avoid liabilty after she defaulted on our fllorida mortgage. is quit claim vaild? I have only been told about it,never recieved it. Since I was paying a different debt for her and she paid my share of mortgage. Can she be responisble for damages?
