If a house gets foreclosed on and gets sold for less than owed is the owner resposlbe for the ballance of the house can the bank you pay

Yes, the debtor is responsible for the deficiency between the amount owed including principal, accrued interest, court costs, and attorney's fees versus the amount received at the foreclosure sale. This can be a substantial amount in a declining market which is prevalent in Florida today.
