There is a good chance that the homeowners policy for the premises where he was injured has coverage for personal injury. You can attempt to report a claim to the homeowners policy, contact your own insurance with information about the other company, or consult with a lawyer. The behavior of your child at the time of the incident will be a factor, but there is a good chance the homeowners insurance will carry some burden for the injury.

There may also be medical payment coverage under the homeowner's policy which would help with the bills even without a negligence claim against the homeowner. You will need to reach out to the owner's of the home and let them know wht you need.
