I live in boston,ma and i am buying a house in orlando,fl. I want to give my daughter who lives in orlando, fl -power of attorney-do i use mass or florida power of attorny form? thank you

Most powers of attorney are alike. You have the choice between a general power of attorney, and a specific power of attorney. The latter limits the powers that you grant. You may also want to ask this question to the Florida panel.

It should not matter, as long as covers what you want to do, has two witnesses and is notarized. Whatever you do, furnish a copy to the closing agent beforehand to make sure they are satisfied with it.

Any general power of attorney would be sufficient to sign the general closing documents. If a mortgage and note are involved because you are obtaining financing, then the power should identify the property being purchased, the lender, the amount of the note and have specific authority to execute the Note, Mortgage, truth-in-lending disclosures, financial statements (form 1003), and forms for submission to the internal revenue authorizing the IRS to verify or release information regarding your social security number.
