Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

property assumption

Parents passed away without leaving a will. I am currently living in the house and has paid off the mortgage. I am only paying the yearly taxes now. Can I assume the property if I am the only SIBLING, taking care taking of the property and paying the taxes?
