Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Rent

I am behind on rent by two months. There is not a contract between me and the landlord. My 16 yr old just gave birth to a baby who is now 2 weeks old. The landlord will not give me until the 3rd of the month to pay and is saying i have until tomorrow to pay everything or be out. What are my rights??

Re: Rent

Although the landlord may demand you leave, he must first file an eviction action with the court, serve you with formal notice (which gives you a short time to file an answer with the court), then get a court order signed by the judge, and then deliver it to the sheriff to serve on you, in order to actually evict you. That takes some time.
