In the State of Florida, what are the laws about a neighbor's trees growing over my fence and what rights do I have?

You may trim tree branches that extend onto your side of the lot line. You may not damage the trunk of the tree, even if some of the tree trunk is on your property. Some trees are protected species, so call your city or county to make sure that you don't need a permit to trim the tree. If you do a neat job and don't cross the lot line with your trimming, the neighbor should not have anything to complain about.
