Legal Question in Social Security Law in Florida

I remarried before I was 60 but my new hubby is not a citizen of America. Social wont let me have my deceased former husbands social security. Why not???? My now spouse is a British Citizen who never put any money into this country nor will he take any. I should be entitled to former spouses pension as "I earned it".

YOu don't get the money if you remarry, it has nothing to do with who your new husband is.
