Is it legal to use symbols as your signature I have used it since 2007 it appears on all my leagal documents including my drivers license now my employer is refusing to send in my w-4 without a "proper signature" I told him that it is my proper signature. Do I have good leagal ground here or do I have to cave and scribble my name down?

Why risk the ire of your employer over a scibble of a signature. As the saying goes, pick your battles. Is this really the hill you want to die on?
