Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

I had a misdemeanor 'Driving w/o A Valid License' charge in Seminole County, FL. I was sentenced to pay court costs in the amount of roughly $300. I was unable to pay in time, and was issued a warrant. I turned myself in, had a friend bail me out, and now have court for a "sentence review" in two days, on the 28th. What can I expect? Will they ask me, again, to pay the fines? Will they give me community service? Will they put me in jail? This is the ONLY criminal charge on my record, and I've gotten in no trouble since I was bailed out. Thank you!

Seminole County use Sentencing Review dates as "drop-dead" dates for the completion of court ordered sanctions & payments. I recommend that you pay the outstanding fines/fees before you walk back into court and have the receipt with you. If you are unable to pay them all off in full, you had better be prepared to explain why you were unable to pay these fines and fees, as there is a possibility that you may be facing a license suspension or jail sentence for failing to abide by the terms of your sentence. Most judges will announce at the time of sentencing whether there is a suspended jail sentence, a driver's license suspension or both hanging over your head as an incentive to complete the tasks or pay the fines and fees by that deadline. They are not obligated to do so, but many do as a reminder of the importance of complying with the sentence. I'd be happy to assist you should you wish to hire counsel for the hearing.

As a side note, be sure that you do not drive to or from court unless your license is valid, as they will arrest you in the parking lot if you drive without a license.
