Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
what is the penalty for possesing and displaying a suspended license why do i have to go to court I was walking and a cop asked me for ID I gave it to him and he took it and gave me a court date.

It's a 1st degree misdemeanor. And you have to go to court because it's against the law to have a suspended or expired license in your mere possession. You might consult a lawyer to see if the stop was lawful.
