Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

behind my back

i am married to a man that went to an attorney without my knowledge and made a revocable trust for his adult son to recieve money upon his death. we own a home together and the home as far as i know is not included in the trust. my husband brought into the marriage assets such as bonds, stocks etc that we use to support our home. my problem is that since i found this out he stated that because my name is not on this acct he can do as he wishes.now here is the kicker. he says i need to go to his lawyers office to sign papers. i have no idea what kind of papers but i feel i need an attorney he says his attorney will handle both of us.if i do need an attorney can you recommend one in palm beach county florida

My office is in Boca Raton, Fl.. Since your interests may differ you should have a separate attorney. You may call me if you wish. Good luck.

Re: behind my back

Your husband cannot transfer property that you own with him without your knowledge or consent. He can transfer (to a trust or other) property that is titled in his name only. So, you should not sign anything away without compensation. It sounds like your interests are in conflict with that of your husband's and you should be represented. If you live in South Palm Beach County, you can contact my office at (561) 864-5519.
