Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My grandmother passed away ad left the house to my mom. She made a will that states if she passed away and if the house was sold I would get part of the money for the house. I know the house has been sold and I have not received anything for the house.

The will controls as long as the property passes through the probate Estate. If not, than the will wont come into effect and you wont get the share you discuss. You need to discuss it with the personal representative and/or the attorney for the Estate.

Doubt the will states that. Probably states that should your Mom have passed away before the grandmother, you would be entitled to a share. Speak with the estate attorney

If your mother does not probate the estate, the Last Will may not control. Do you have a copy of the Will and if you do, perhaps you should find an attorney and begin the process. The attorney will need to locate the witnesses to the will so that the copy will be acknowledged by the court. I suspect Mr. Slater is correct in how the will actually may read.
