Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Granmothers Estate

My grandmother passed away in Feb. 2006 in FL. She had two chilren, my father and my uncle Ray. My mother and father had a nasty divorce and my mother had me adopted by her new husband. My grandmother and i had an extremly strong relationship while she and her son Ray did not. When my grandmother passed she had an unsigned will leaving my father everything and asked that ray gets nothing because he is already well to do...her words exactly. I would be the next of kin, however my mother had me adopted. What can be done? I am 23 years old and never imagined my uncle would act this way. The estate is valued over $800,000 which could have easily been divided equally and everyone would have gone away happy. In the beging my uncle and his wife promised me we would do just that but since he has learned the law, he knows i have not rights to anything which is whay he is fighting for. I have many of her closest friends to witness that my grandmother wanted the house to go to me after my father passed, but not one thing in writting. I understand the law, but just like people are not the same, situations are not the same so i find it so hard to believe that the law can apply the same in ever instance. Do i have a leg to stand on?
