my mother passed away 1 month ago and I need to find out about her will.We were somewhat estranged at the time and my sister is not telling me anything.How do I find out about her will and how do I go about getting my share of her estate?

A decedent's Will must be filed with the probate court of her residence within ten days of her death. You can obtain a copy of the document from the Probate clerk. There is NO guarantee you were named as a beneficiary so do not count on anything.

If there is a will, it needs to be filed in the probate court. You can obtain a copy of the will from the court. It should have been filed by now. Regards,
