Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My parents passed away in 1991 and 2006 there's no will. There's unclaimed property in Florida and land in North Carolina. What do I need to do to claim the property and land?

Hire a lawyer and have them bring a probate. Sorry if that's not a very satisfactory answer, but at least in Florida you usually can't do it yourself; most probate judges will expect you to hire an attorney. You can probably bring what's called a 'summary administration' rather than a full blown probate, but it almost always has to be brought by a lawyer.
