Why do you think there is a legal step to take? Generally, when you endeavor to purchase a house, it's your responsibility to find the funding. You should probably try to seek funding from many sources. In the meantime, why don't you set up a conference call between the bank rep and the broker to see if you can straighten things out?

Have you secured funding? That is your responsibility. If you can't get a loan for the house, that is usually one condition that voids the contract.
