Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

US Savings Bonds - Are They Mine???

An uncle of mine who I took care of and shared a closeness with told his financial advisor that he wanted me to have his US savings bonds upon his death. I have the bonds in my possession. Shortly thereafter he died and the bonds read his name and his brother's name.

I do have an email from the financial advisor stating that he remembers this conversation with my uncle. His brother does not know about the bonds at all. Is there any way for me to cash these bonds that I feel are ethically mine?
