Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Time limit of executing a will and rights for siblings in the case where the exe

First I would like to know what the statue of limitation is for executing a will after someone passes away. My sister passed away at the end of Jan and her life time partner became the executor she has basically cut off all contact with my family, we have checked the court house to see if the will is filed in probate and it has not been. There is property involved and as far as other assets there could be money market accounts for retirement. We would like to have a copy of the will and how would we go about getting that. The partner claims that our sister had no assets because she was hospitalized for a month before she passed. She also has made us aware that she has hired a lawyer to protect her interest. Should we hire a lawyer and force her to execute the will. The executor is not family and my sister had no children. Do we have the right to try and force her to execute the will since we are not the executor. What are our rights in this matter.
