where do i file for 'workers comp' ?

i am a long-haul truck driver. i live in florida, was injured in arkansas, and my employer is in michigan. where do i file at ?

For accidents which occur after 10/1/2003, your best bet is to contact lawyers in all three states. Figure out which state has the best benefits and file in that state. Florida, will probably have better benefits than Arkansas but not as good as Michigan.You can file for sure in Michigan and Arkansas. Florida is not so sure.

You may be entitled to workers' compensation in Florida if (1) your contract of employment was made in Florida or (2) your employment was principally in Florida. To make things more confusing, assuming you meet the above criteria, you may be entitled to benefits from Michagan and or Arkansas too. Best bet is to see an attorney in Florida if you meet the above criteria or one of the other states if you do not.
