Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

Worker's Comp Injury in Florida

I had a worker's comp injury in June and had surgery in Sept. I have been doing physical therapy and the doctor has now ordered me to do a gym program for 6 months. The medical facility that approves pt and other medical treatment did not approve the gym program. It has now been turned over to the work comp adjuster for her medical director to review and approve or deny. Do they have the right to deny this and if so, am I able to appeal a denial in any way? What are my rights regarding this.

Re: Worker's Comp Injury in Florida

If the wc carrier can find a similar suitable alternative, they can deny the gym but must find you the alternative.

You should contact an attorney. If you are in south, call me. If not, tell me where you live and your name and address and I will refer you to an attorney.
