Workers comp insurance

If you have 3 employees do you need workmans comp on them. We are a janitorial business

Based on what you say here the answer would be no.

Keep in mind, if you do not have Workers' Compensation coverage on these employees, it does not mean that you are relieved of any liability if one of your employees gets injured on the job. So, unless you can afford to self insure for any losses which could occur, I would recommend that you at least check out a WC Policy.

I have seen small employers get really bound up by not paying for coverage then having an employee get injured on the job. Remember, coverage does not just provide benefits to your employees if they are injured, but provides you legal representation if needed when a claim is made.
