Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

Worker's Compensation

My son worked for a tire company earlier this year. He frequently had to lift semi truck tires without any assistance and started having severe back pain with pain radiating down his right leg. He went to the emergency room a couple of times complaining of sever back pain and missed several days of work due to this problem. His employer knew my son was not showing up for work because of the back pain but my son never gave him any ''official'' paperwork other than a physicians excuse for missing work. He was unable to return to his job so he was let go. He has been unable ot work since and is now seeing a pain management physician and chiropractor. Do you think he is eligible for a worker's compensation claim?

Re: Worker's Compensation

Your son should consult with a Florida Bar Board Certified workers' compensation lawyer. Board Certified lawyers can be found on the Florida Bar web site. From the information you gave, I would say he is entitled to workers' compensation benefits.
