If I am strictly a part-time employee, is my small business required, by law, to provide Workers Comp insurance on me?

Re: Workers Compensation

No, if your business is not a construction business. If your business is a corporation and not a construction co, unless you elect not to be covered, you are an employee and must have coverage. Sole proprietors and partnerships are not employees and must elect to have coverage. Non construction companies must have coverage if there are 4 or more part of full time employees. Hope this helps.
