Legal Question in Family Law in France

I have started my divorce proceeding recently, however my soon to be ex wife will not allow me to see my son at all. The only reason for this is her anger for the marriage break down. what are my rights i am a French citizen? can i see my son before the end of the divorce? and how do i proceed to do this?

Unless there are unusual circumstances, such as a danger to the child, of course you have a right as father to see your child. However, you do not indicate where the divorce proceeding is taking place - in France, the U.S. or elsewhere - so it is impossible to give you specific advice as to what to do without knowing more of the facts and the procedure that you began.

It is indeed difficult to advise on your rights during divorce proceedings as you have not specified where you petioned for divorce. In case you started proceedings in France, there are provisional measures that could be sought before the Judge for Family Matters in charge with your case, notably regarding custody, maintenance and access to the child.
