Legal Question in Immigration Law in France

Options for residing in France, legally.

i am an American citizen, from California. On Oct 31, 2004 i came to France to live with a man i fell in love with. It has been almost two years since i arrived and i still have only a passport. So i leave the country every 90 days to have it stamped and renew my time here in France.

i looked into applying for a Visa, but it seems it must be done from the US and i don't have any means there really.

Is there any other option than marriage for staying in France legally?

It is important to make the transition final, so i can receive medical care ect...

Thanks in advance for any help!

bella
