Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

I started working with a company and was promised salary plus a percentage of the gross profit of the branch. Over the course of 14 months, I took this office to the top office in the company but never received the quarterly bonuses that I was promised at the time of hire. After the 1st quarter ended profitably, I began asking about the bonus and was always told by management that it was coming; hang tight; we're working on it, etc. After almost a year of asking, I finally had a meeting with my manager and basically said I needed answers that day as to why I hadn't been paid and when I could expect my money. The next day, I was terminated for performance (never received any write ups, never received anything but accolades about said performance). I did not receive an offer letter when I was hired; everything was done on a gentleman's handshake. I do have many witnesses who know I was owed this money. Is there any sort of legal recourse I can take? On estimation, its about $100k bonus due me. I'm not sure if the amount matters or not so I'm throwing it out there just in case it does matter.

I would recommend having an attorney write them a demand letter first before pursuing any kind of litigation. That will often get them talking about a possible settlement. Not having it in writing may be a bit of a roadblock.
