Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

Real estate law/discrimination?

I call a real estate agent to inquire about a property? The response was Can you afford it? Where do you live? Where do you work? Does violate any law?

Re: Real estate law/discrimination?

According to the Civil Rights act of 1965, you can not be discriminated against based on Race Creed Color or sex. Some states have increased the protections to include single parents, ex felons, and sexual preference.

If you think that descrimination is what is going on here, you should report this to your state attorney general or your local district attorney's office.

Good luck.
