Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

credit card fraud

There was a credit card charge on my card that I did not make, I called the company in which the transaction was made thru, they gave me the name of the person that opened up an account for an online service. Come to find out it was my husbands Ex Wife. I do not know HOW she got a hold of My credit card info. I want to know what type of legal action I can take against her? Wouldn't this be considered some type of credit card fraud? I have already disputed the charges with my credit card company.I just dont know how someone can just use your card number and give a name other than what is on the card. So if you could give me some advice I would really appreciate it.. Thank-You

Re: credit card fraud

I believe this is a crime. Contact your local police. Also, you may have a civil action against her. Consult with a local attorney.
