Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

My fiance' has large medical bills and no job. live the georgia. when we get married, will i be liable to pay these or can they come after me for payment?

If your fiance is smart, he'll see a bankruptcy lawyer and eliminate the problem. If he does not, anything you may get jointly (bank account, house, car, etc, may be lost. So even though you aren't directly harmed, his failure to bankrupt may have consequences to you.
