Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

lien on my home

During my divorce my lawyer told me she was puttling a lien on my home to protect me from creditors. Unfortunately, she's charging 21% annual interest. he original amount owed was $14,000. Now she wasnt $70,000+ and is charging $1000+ a month in interest. Is there any way to lower the interest or cap the lien?

No one here knows the agreement between you and your lawyer, so you are not likely to get advice about that. You can either have another laywer review the facts and documents, or ask your lawyer to participate in the State Bar's fee dispute progam (which should not be confused with a Bar Complaint about your lawyer).
