Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

wage garnishment

A law office has obtained a judgement against me. We worked out a monthly payment arrangement which was signed by myself, the attorney and the judge. I have been paying as agreed. I have since received a letter stating that they maintain the right to file a wage garnishment at my place of employment if suitable arrangements are not made. Are they able to do this?

Re: wage garnishment

You reference documents that control, but we do not have them to review. We also cannot guess what the letter from the law firm says in its entirety, or what prompted them to do it. Since it is a pending lawsuit and judgment, see a lawyer to review all of it, or just try to resolve the issue and keep making timely payments.
