Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Criminal Trespassing

In 1995 I was arrested for criminal trespassing-taken to jail to sleep it off. I have actually forgotten about this incident as it happened 15 years ago. I have never received a court notice, warrant, have heard nothing pertaining to this until now. I have applied for my FFL license for the store that I own and it was denied due to this outstanding issue. Is there a statute of limitation, the Court told me if it were still open, they would set it for hearing. Is this possiible? I was 21, knew everytthing (a/k/a young and stupid) I am almost 40 years old and this comes up now?

Re: Criminal Trespassing

It sounds like there could be an issue with the Statute of Limitation, but it is really impossible to give you a straight answer without knowing more about your case. It does not sound like a particularly difficult or serious case, but one that can and aparrently is causing you a huge headache.
