Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I have always been told that it was four years after the offense that the statutes of limitation on statutory rape runs out. I have just been informed that this is not the case. (see my previous question and answer). I turned 25 on July 28th. My question now is am i still within those parameters or did it expire on my birthday. Thank you for clearing this up for me.

It has been cleared up. I don't know who told you what, but refer to my website for my experience: www.lawrencelewispc.com. If I were told by an attorney with 200+ major felony jury trials (e.g. murder, rape, armed robbery, trafficking in cocaine, aggravated child molestation) then I might take his word for it. Seven yeas after the victim turns 18. The four year statute of limitations is for "light" felonies (e.g. theft of motor vehicle, felony shoplifting, possession of a firearm, burglary, forgery). Good luck.
