Legal Question in DUI Law in Georgia

Just received mail today and found letter from a Probate Court stating I owe for a 1990 DUI offense. The Clerk of Court secretary stated they did receive 3 payments of $50.00 towards this fine, and they also added a failure to appear in court fee of $50.00. I cannot recall that far back and also do not know why I have never received any other mail at all for this same offense in the past 20 years. Do I still have to pay this fine, or should I get a lawyer to fight this?

I did have one DUI in 2001 and my license was suspended and I did pay all court fees and probation fines for this 2001 DUI. I have not been in any further trouble with the courts at all since then.

Since you couldn't level with us here, no one here can answer you.

No one forgets if they have a DUI. If you had one you know if you paid the fine or not.

Get a lawyer and be far more honest with him than you were here. No lawyer can help a person who is so obviously lying.
