Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Child support

exwife court ordered to pay child support, my son dropped out or school at age 16. Does she have to continue to pay child support even though he quit school? I am trying to convince him to go back to school and I'm pretty sure he is.

He said he missed school. Can she quit paying child support because he quit school?

Re: Child support

In Georgia, child support is owed through age 18. Depending on your agreement or order, it may be extended through high school graduation if that is later than age 18, but no later than age 20. If your son wanted to go back to school and would not graduate until after he turns 18, and if the agreement/order provides for the later termination date, it would continue until the graduation date.
