Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

choosing which parent to live with

what is the age a child can choose which parent he/she wants to live with. i am the primary parent with joint custody with the father. and he has threatened me that when our child gets older he'll make sure our child would rather come live with him. i've heard its around 14 years old that they can choose which parent. is any of that true?
