Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Hi. I would like to know how many continuances are allowed in a modification of child custody case? I cannot seem to get a straight answer from my Lawyer on the question. My court date was scheduled after many months of waiting for a Tuesday. Was notified on the Friday before the court date I was informed the maternal parent' laywer had a "special circumstance case" that took precedent and my case will have to be postponed/ put on continuance. Am very aware maternal parent has no wish to let case go to court and has done the whole postponement/delay court case as long as possible charade in the past. I advised current lawyer this before he was retained. Here we go again. Meanwhile, young child and my self are left twisting in wind while waiting for Court date/hearing to see if I am able to get more time with him.

You have a lawyer who knows about your case. That is who answers your questions.

You have a lawyer who is familiar with your case and represents you. None of us have seen the conflict letters sent to the court. He has. Additionally, it would be unethical for anyone here to interfere with your attorney-client relationship.

Attorney conflicts are normal and many cases come ahead of yours by state rules including older cases, jury trials, criminal matters and specially set cases. I am sure your lawyer has already explained that to you.
