Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Election and consideration for custody/living

I understand that the courts in Ga. are supposed to consider a childs election preferences at 12 in Ga. and that the papers can be signed at 14 for election to be with one specific parent.

I have a 13 year old son, who is rightfully very distressed to be with his mother and I need to know:

1) Where can I get a copy of the statutes that deal with the 12 yr. and 14 yr. election & preferences? (especially the 12)

2) How can I push the Judge to adhere to these guidelines best? (specifically as this is what is best fopr the child in this instance.

3) Can you recommend some Attorneys in Marietta who wil stand up for my sons rights in Cobb County Court? My Attorney was too weak to stand up for what is right with the Judge.....and that is not an exaggerated statement.....

Thankyou!

You can find the GA statutes at http://www.ganet.org/services/ocode/ocgsearch.htm As for an experienced attorney in Marietta, I would recommend James B. Gordon, 770-429-0322.
