Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I am the legal father of my daughter per my signature on her birth certificate. My wife was pregnant at the time of our marriage by another man. He told my via phone call, that if I married her, he would step aside as the father and would have nothing to do with our daughter. Now almost 4 years later without any contact from this man, he may want to persue custody. He was and still is married to another woman when he got my wife pregnant. She got pregnant before we met, or started "dating".

What can i do to keep him from taking my daughter? Does he have any rights at all? What rights do i have, or is it up solely to the mother?

Signing the birth certificate does not make you the "legal father." At this point, your wife and you should seek counsel.
