Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

legalizing children

my husband and i have jusat recently seperated.. not a legal seperation, i just left one day and left the kids behind since i did not know where i was going to be. But my question is, our oldest child..our daughter, was born before we got married and we never got her made legally his. So do we need to or should we have her made legal before we get divorced(eventhough that is still a ways away)..or is she autiomatically made legal since it has been like eight years?I hope you understand my situation and my question.

Re: legalizing children

The child was legimated automatically when you and he married. She is treated the same as if born after your marriage.

Re: legalizing children

No separate proceeding is necessary. You can address it in the divorce.
