Legitimation of my child for Visitation Petition

I have received a package for Visitation Right petition to be filed in my county, Do I need Legitimation when my name is in my child's Birth Certificate as the father?

Yes, the acknowledgment of paternity as reflected in the birth certificate only establishes the FACT that you are the father, but it does not create the LEGAL relationship sufficient to give you custodial or visitation rights. To have those, you need to file a legitimation case and ask for visitation, joint custody, etc.
