Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Spousal Support

My ex wife asked for attorneys fees and was awarded them in the amount of $15,000. During the trial I stated that the awarding of attorneys fees would probably force me into bankruptcy, her attorney then asked the judge to award the attorneys fees in the form of support so that I could not bankrupt against them. In an attempt to make an apple look like an orange- the judge agreed and awarded her the fees in the form of support. She never requested the support in the original complaint. My ex wife makes as much money as I do so support should not have been awarded anyhow. Is she eligable for support if she did not request it in the original complaint? I have heard that she would not be, according to state law, however I can not find any such law.
