can i serve jailtime from a wrongful death suit from a fire in Georgia where a child died? i live in another state and have a property manager. the people that lived in the house are not the name on the lease. the house is about 50 years old.

A wrongful death suit is civil (and unless you have insurance defending you, you need a lawyer). To be jailed, there would also have to be criminal charges separate from the civil case. If you feel such a charge is coming, get a criminal lawyer.
