Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I won a hearing at the Magistrate Court of DeKalb County, GA. Now the defendant is appealing at the Superior Court. If I win, will the defendant be able to appeal?

Yes, but it will be a different kind of appeal. An appeal from magistrate court is a de novo appeal, which means that the case is tried again from scratch. But an appeal from state or superior court is an appeal on a specific issue and is much harder to do and win. They would have to show that the court made a mistake during the trial.
