Legal Question in Immigration Law in Georgia

I am a US Citizen, my mother is from Venezuela and was denied a tourist visa today, I know I could apply for a family based immigrant visa, but she has no intentions of leaving her country permanently, is there anything else I can do to help her come visit and meet her grandchildren?

I would persist if I were you. The fact that your mother has no intention of residing in the U.S. as a permanent resident is helpful, but that has to be "proven" with certain evidence that she will return to Venezuela. If she has a home there, a job, bank accounts, other elements that prove stability and residence in Venezuela, that would help. How did she request the visa -- was it upon an invitation to see the grandchildren? I would not give up. Sometimes it takes a second, or third attempt to obtain the visa, especially when there is an immediate relative like her daughter living in the states. They may think she will change her mind once she gets to the U.S. and sees the family. If she can convince the consulate otherwise, she will get the visa. Good luck!

She can reapply again for a Visitor's visa (new application, new fee). This time, she should try to submit some supporting evidence of her ties to Venezuela and her intent to return there after the short trip. She should make it clear that she has no intent to immigrate to USA (as likely it was the reason for denial).
